About Us

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) constituted in 1989 (2045 BS) is a national autonomous apex body of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector committed to the production of technical and skillful human resources required by the nation. It mainly involves policy formulation, quality control, preparation of competency-based curriculum, developing skill standards of various occupations and testing the people’s skills, conducting various research studies and training needs assessment, etc.

Under the CTEVT Umbrella, BALARA POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE (BPI) is the Technical Institute in Madhesh province of Nepal. BPI institute is established in Madhesh Province, Balara – 4, Sarlahi, Nepal in 2020 (2077 BS). The institute is located 35 kilometers wset from Sarlahi's district headquarters, Malangwa and 50 kilometer south from Naya Road of National Highway.

The faculty, staff, and students of the Balara Polytechnic Institute strive to embrace the connection of people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and thoughts as we develop an environment that helps each of us achieve our most creative and innovative ideas and solutions. We dedicate ourselves to the hard work that must be done to improve and expand our equitable and inclusive practices as we make the Polytechnic Institute where everyone feels welcomed and respected, and as we build a community where excellence and achievement are attainable by all.
